I'm off for Spain!

In about an hour or so, I will be officially set apart as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And then tomorrow I will fly out for the Madrid MTC in Spain.

I've mostly been excited, but when I woke up this morning, that's when it really kind of started to hit me that I am actually leaving. I was able to talk with one of my friends on the phone for a couple hours today, and that really helped to comfort me and be less scared. He was so wonderful to just let me cry and listen to my fears and concerns. Cause I definitely am scared to go, but I know why I am going.

The amount of support I have had from everyone has been incredible. You all are just so wonderful. I wouldn't be where I am without each and everyone one of you. Thank you sooo much! I love you all! Well, I guess this is it! My next post on here will come from Spain! :)

  1. I know how you're feeling now, but everything is going to be alright. It's like being in a roller coaster. Your stomach is nervous. Give it a time. Once in Madrid everything will be different. Learn every minute and be open minded. Common sense. I'll be following you and your photos, specially the ones in Catalonia, the land I belong. Bon viatge i que tinguis molta sort. Salut !!

  2. I love you, Em. Just remember, "You're on an adventure!" That's what I have always said since the time you were a little girl whenever we got lost or turned around as we were traveling. You'll do great things on your adventure, and you're never really lost with the Lord watching over you...

  3. My name is Paul Greer, and Mike Venable is my wife's brother. We live on Ogden.
As I was looking at Debbie's Fb pictures of New Zealand I noticed entries pertaining to your mission. Recently, I found the missionary who baptized me 45 years ago in Berlin Germany! We were both elated!
Recently I an account of Pres. Hinckley's where he caught up with someone he had taught during his mission, and the number of church members because of Pres. Hinckley. We there are now almost 21 of us in the church because of the labor of "my" missionary! May the Lord guide you to similar success!
I hope you don't mind that I peeked at your progress, but it has given me another blessing today! Thank you. and Merry Christmas, Paul & Wanona Greer, greersgarrison@gmail.com
